23+89 crashed on March 8, 1972 during the landing pattern at Wittmund AB at Ardorf,
pilot lost control of the aircraft due to an aircraft stall while extending the landing gear, pilot ejected safely; written off; struck off charge order (AVA) January 5, 1973.

Project "Roland": 21 AWX (All Weather Fighter) aircrafts were intended for JG 71 (FW 71). Because the re-equipment of the wing was delayed, 
these aircraft remained at the LVR 3 in Manching until 1964.
