Lightning T.4 XM995/T of No.92.Sqn. is leading F-104G 25+29 and 22+75 of 1.Staffel/JaboG 32 and Lightning F.2 XN769/F at RAF Gütersloh in July 1968
A two-way exchange between an air defence squadron and and attack unit was quite rare in these days. This squadron exchange happened from July 23rd to August 1st, 1968.
No.92.Sqn. relocated six months earlier in January 1968 from RAF Geilenkirchen to Gütersloh.

The Commanding Officer Wing Commander R. R. Robinson lead the detachment to Lechfeld and six Lightning F.2.
The only T-Bird of No.92.Sqn. was left behind at Gütersloh and so some of the German F-104 pilots there had the change to get a ride in a Lightning.
One of the Starfighter still had the red band around the nose for the 1.Staffel.
22+75 flew for nine months only with JaboG 32 and later went to MFG 1. The Germans took part with six (T)F-104G.
