manufactured by Group USA (ARGE-USA); flight test release May 7, 1962 at Lockheed; assembly in Fighterbomber version according contract lot 7
with register number "185" for test flights; coded KF+160 for delivery; airlifted to Germany July 20, 1962 with 18 flight hours with a Canadair CL-44D airfreighter of "Flying Tiger Line"
at Messerschmitt for reassembly and first flight August 8, 1962; acceptance date September 7, 1962 by BABwMTT
DC+236 JaboG 33 at Buchel AB delivery date September 12, 1962 in Silver-finish colors; project "Lorely" (for JaboG 33) was not implemented
DR+236 on March 11, 1963 for the systems improvement according project "Balance" at LPR 1 (Luftwaffenparkregiment 1) at Erding AB, back at Buchel AB on April 16, 1963 coded DC+236 again
crashed during a Low Level mission on October 16, 1964 at Dolleren, near Mulhouse, France after "Engine fire" warning and
subsequent heavy vibrations and explosion in the engine compartment, aircraft became uncontrollable, pilot ejected safely; written off; struck off charge order (AVA) August 10, 1966.

Project "Balance": upgrade 19 F-104G with retrofit kits at LPR 1 at Erding AB and received DR+xxx codes with their old three-digit squadron numbers.
After the upgrade, these aircrafts either returned to their squadrons or directly to Manching for disassembly for the Columbus program.
