F-104 "multi-national" conversion class at WaSLw 10 at Jever AB in June 1964

With the beginning of the introduction of the Lockheed F-104 Starfighter, an F-104 training squadron was set up in January 1960 as the 4th squadron of Weapons School 10 in Nörvenich. 
The training of the future pilots of Fighter Bomber Wing 31 took place in April 1961 on the two-seat F-104F. 
After the squadrons from Oldenburg moved to Jever at the end of 1962, all parts of the wing were brought together there in 1964.
After the basic training and weapon system training was relocated to the USA, the so-called "Europeanization" took place centrally at Jever AB, i.e. training in European airspace and under European weather conditions.
In July 1983 the Luftwaffe "Weapons School 10" was the last weapons school to be disbanded. It was absorbed into Fighter Bomber Wing 38.
