F-104C "FG-887" 436 TFS of 479 TFW in 1963 F-104C, construction number 183-1175, model 483-04-05, US serial number 56-0887, built by LockheedFG-887 USAF available August 15, 1958; delivery date October 31, 1958 to 479th TFW George AFB; 476th TFS deployment to Moron AB, Spain in 1959 435th TFS deployed to Ramstein, Germany during Berlin crisis September 19, 1961-January 22, 1962; noted with 436th TFS "The Black Aces" George AFB in December 1963 March 19, 1965 56-0887 made a barrier engagement at George AFB, CA when the drag chute failed to deploy and the right main tire blew after heavy braking.
